January 20th, 2017 - A Retrospective

Having attended several of the previous inaugurations (Bush in 2005, and Obama in 2009), I decided to attend Trumps 2017 Inauguration along with three other photographers. The goal was to document the temperatures between what was taking place on the National Mall, vs. what would ultimately unfold beyond the checkpoints walls. I spoke with several Trump supporters and caught a variety of heated exchanges. Throughout the documentation, I tried to be as unbiased as possible; however, on that day I was inspired by Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" music video released in 1994.

In response to the recent uproar in Russian collusion investigations, this release is dedicated to the passing of Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell on May the 18th, 2017.

The film premiered on March 24th, 2017 at the 2nd annual Picture Farm Film Fest.
The film was screened multiple times between May 28th - 30th during the "America Now" (itsbeen100) art exhibit in protest of the Trump administration 100th day in office. The 3 day exhibit took place at Salt Studios in Brooklyn New York.
